SYNNEX launches On Demand Services program for VARs

SYNNEX has launched a new On Demand Services program with the goal of helping VARs achieve longer term contracts with customers, increased profitability profiles, recurring revenue streams and greater loyalty between the reseller and end-user.

"The On Demand program highlights our continuous efforts to create new initiatives for our VAR partners to offer their end-users, creating incremental dollars and growth opportunities," said Bob Stegner, senior vice president of marketing for SYNNEX Corp.

The On Demand offering is divided into four service segments:

On Demand Field Services offers peripheral, server, desktop and network installations, hardware contract maintenance and hardware recycling services. End-users will have access to support from more than 50,000 IT technicians nationwide.

On Demand Managed Services features offerings from three vendors: DS3 Datavaulting provides managed remove data backup and disaster recovery services; Perimeter eSecurity provides more than 50 managed security services from intrusion detection and prevention to hosted anti-virus and anti-spam, and itControl Suite provides its network management solution. Additional help desk and technical support in managed services will be offered through Concentrix Corp., a SYNNEX subsidiary.

On Demand Edge Services offers Technology-as-a-Service (TaaS), and includes VoIP, remote PBX solutions, and PRINTSolv -- SYNNEX's print management solution and remote digital signage capabilities. On Demand Edge Services are offered on a monthly basis where end-users pay only for what they use.

The final category, On Demand Professional Services, is designed to help VARs and their end-users maximize existing infrastructure and migrate to virtualized environments through proof of concept field tests and capacity assessment studies.

"The concept behind SYNNEX On Demand Services is to enable the reseller to offer its customers virtually any conceivable service," Stegner explained. "On Demand delivers the services and technicians as the VAR needs them, without having to make costly upfront investments in both infrastructure and people."
