ONStor and Nexsan announce global OEM deal
11 September, 2008

ONStor Inc., which makes clustered NAS solutions for primary and value-tier storage for enterprises and content-rich organizations, and storage vendor Nexsan, have announced that the two companies have entered into a worldwide OEM agreement that expands the companies' channel presence. As part of the agreement, ONStor will incorporate Nexsan's SATABeast and SATABoy storage systems into its Pantera line of NAS products. In addition, ONStor has certified the Nexsan SATABeast with the ONStor Bobcat and Cougar NAS gateways.
Nexsan and ONStor will leverage their strong reseller relationships to provide partners with high-density, energy-efficient solutions to help organizations of all sizes consolidate storage and keep pace with the massive growth of unstructured and fixed-content data.
"Our relationship with ONStor provides both organizations with an opportunity to expand deeper into the file-based data storage market with a differentiated product offering," said Jim Molenda, executive vice president of sales, Nexsan Corporation. "Combining Nexsan's highly reliable, green storage systems with ONStor's NAS gateway products open up a new range of sales opportunities for channel partners."
Jeanne Wilson, president of Condor Storage, a Nexsan and ONStor reseller, is excited about the OEM agreement. "We've been working with Nexsan for five years and we firmly trust their products," Wilson said. "They have the most advanced green storage capabilities in the industry with AutoMAID and the lowest AFR we've seen. Integrating Nexsan's reliable, green storage with ONStor's high-performance NAS technology opens up a new market of opportunities for us."
"Our companies' business goals are synergistic. We both want to increase channel sales while providing solution providers with the most competitive solutions to win business," said Tom Gallivan, senior vice president, worldwide sales at ONStor. "By combining forces with Nexsan, we feel ONStor is exceptionally positioned to offer partners a cost-effective, yet dense and energy-efficient NAS storage solution."
