10 May, 2009

Networking vendor D-Link has announced it has formed a global partnership with ManageEngine, the leader in IT management software that offers high-end functionality of large network management frameworks at cost-effective prices to enterprises worldwide.
Through this alliance, D-Link's Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) based business-class networking products will be able to be managed by the ManageEngine software suite. Both companies will work together to provide a wider and newer range of compatible SNMP-based product offerings, which include switching, wireless, security and storage product lines.
ManageEngine's software family offers enterprise IT management solutions for network management, helpdesk and information technology infrastructure library (ITIL), bandwidth monitoring, desktop management, password management, active directory reporting, managed services platform, security management and applications management, including Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) and business service management capabilities.
"We're pleased to be working with ManageEngine to bring their proven IT management software solution to our devices as a value-add to our customers," said Tony Tsao, CEO and president of D-Link Corporation.
ManageEngine enables IT managers to migrate from more expensive frameworks to lower-cost point products, presenting an alternative solution that offers nearly the same functionality found in larger, more costly applications.
"We pride our company on offering 90 percent of the functionality at 10 percent of the price of the larger management software vendors, and believe in delivering value to our customers by providing robust and easy-to-use software that nearly any business can afford," said Neil Butani, president of ManageEngine.
Both companies will collaborate on the design of new solutions, conduct joint marketing programs, provide pre-sales support to channel partners and coordinate technical support.
