FrontRange Solutions has made further enhancements to its GoldMine line of customer relationship management (CRM) products with the addition of GoldMine Enterprise edition, which is targeted at mid-sized companies with complex business processes that want additional functionality in integrating with different systems but also want greater flexibility.

"We found a lot of our customers were pushing GoldMine to its limits," said Greg Anderson, senior director of product for FrontRange Solutions. "Small- and medium- sized businesses want enterprise class functionality ... to be able to get information out so that they can manage their business more effectively but need to have a way to implement it very quickly and start getting a return on investment," he added.

The enterprise edition includes such modules as campaign management, lead management, relationship management, case management and marketing management. Anderson said that these modules can be deployed all at the same time or one at a time to address individual pain points.

The benefits of this new version of GoldMine include reduced cost of implementation and maintenance.

"Everything is quick to configure," said Anderson. Customers, he added, don't have to go back to their partner in order to add new information or campaigns, users can do it themselves. This lowers training costs because the software works like how users work. They can change everything from every field name to changing business rules and process flow instead of asking their channel partners to do as they've done in the past.

As well, GoldMine Enterprise has an action-oriented architecture that allows users to get the information they need the way they need it and be able to pull it out very easily that will help companies increase its revenue.

While users have to rely less on their partners for support with this new version, Anderson said that there are still service opportunities for the company's over 200 channel partners around helping customers understand not only CRM technology but their business processes as well.

"Part of what makes GoldMine successful is our partner strategy," he added. "One of the things is when you look at CRM is you need to think locally and globally. Locally got that CRM expert down the street that can actually help you solve and understand your business pain points and go out and solve it."

Anderson also said that the modularity and functionality of the enterprise edition makes it easier for them to sell it to the right users while still getting as many service dollars.

GoldMine Enterprise edition is available now through its channel partners and is priced at $995 (U.S.).
